A short set of house rules that keep the farm pleasant for everyone staying on it — written as reasons, not just rules.

The spirit of the place
Arnav Harmony Farm is a shared property in a quiet valley. Most of what follows comes down to one idea: other people are here too, and several of them travelled a long way for the quiet. Almost every guest gets this right without being asked.
Noise and music
- Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Sound carries a long way across open lawns at night.
- Speakers and DJ setups are welcome at booked events in the designated areas, not on room verandas.
- If you have booked the whole property for an event, the rules are what we agreed with you — talk to us in advance and we will make it work.
Respect for people
Harassment, intimidation, and abuse of other guests or of our staff are not tolerated, in any form and on any grounds — including caste, religion, region, gender, sexuality or disability. Our team is here to look after you and is entitled to be treated decently while doing it. This is the one rule where we do not negotiate.
Children
Families are the heart of this place and children are genuinely welcome. They must be supervised by the adults with them at all times — particularly at the swimming pool, the rain dance, the bonfire and anywhere near the zipline. Our staff are not lifeguards or minders.
Activities, water and fire
- Follow the posted rules and our team’s instructions at every activity. They are based on how people actually get hurt here.
- No swimming after dark, and no swimming or activities under the influence of alcohol.
- Bonfires are lit and managed by our staff. Please do not start your own fire anywhere on the property.
- We may close an activity for weather, maintenance or safety, and that decision stands.
Alcohol and smoking
Drink responsibly and within the law — Maharashtra’s legal drinking age applies and we will refuse service where we have to. Smoking is for open outdoor areas only, never in rooms or indoor dining. Illegal substances are not permitted anywhere on the property.
The farm and its surroundings
- This is a working farm in the Sahyadri hills. Please do not pick produce, disturb the animals, or leave litter on the trails or lawns.
- Take your waste to a bin — a plastic bottle in the valley outlives everyone who visits this year.
- Damage beyond ordinary wear is chargeable. Tell us if something breaks; accidents happen and we would rather know.
- Drones and commercial photo or video shoots need our permission in advance, out of consideration for other guests’ privacy.
Guests and visitors
Only the people on your booking may stay overnight — the room rate and our safety planning both depend on knowing who is on the property. If you would like day visitors to join you, arrange it with us first and we will tell you the charge.
Reviews and photographs
Please review us honestly, good or bad; we read them and we act on them. When you post photos, spare a thought for other guests who did not agree to appear in them, and for children in particular. If something went wrong during your stay, telling us while you are still here usually means we can fix it.
If these are broken
Almost always this means a quiet word, and that is the end of it. Where behaviour is unsafe, or persists after being raised, we may ask a guest or a group to leave without a refund, and in serious cases involve the police. The formal position is set out in our Terms & Conditions; conduct on this website is covered by our Acceptable Use Policy.
