Accessibility Statement
How we’ve built this website to be usable by everyone, what we know still falls short, and what the farm itself is like to get around.
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Our commitment
We want every guest to be able to plan and book a stay independently, and to know what to expect from the property before they arrive. We aim at the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard as our reference point. We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit, so we describe below what has been done rather than claiming a certification we do not hold.
What we have built into the site
- Semantic HTML with a single main heading per page, so screen readers and reader modes can navigate the structure.
- Every interactive control is reachable by keyboard, and focus is always visible — we use a high-contrast focus ring rather than removing outlines.
- Form fields have real, associated labels, and errors are announced rather than shown only as colour.
- Colour is never the sole carrier of meaning, and body text is set for contrast against its background.
- Animation respects your system “reduce motion” setting; the site’s movement is decorative and can be turned off at the OS level.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Pages are built to reflow to narrow screens and to remain usable when text is enlarged.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than let you discover them:
- The booking date picker is a custom calendar. It is keyboard-operable, but it is more complex to use with a screen reader than a plain date field. If it gets in your way, call us and we will take the booking over the phone.
- Payment is completed inside Razorpay’s checkout, which is a third party. Its accessibility is governed by Razorpay, not by us.
- Some photographs of the farm carry short alternative text that describes the subject rather than every detail of the scene.
- We have not yet had the site tested by users of assistive technology. That is the most useful thing we could do next, and we intend to.
Getting around the farm itself
The website is only half the question. The farm is a rural property in the hills, and honesty here matters more than a good-sounding sentence:
- Ground-level rooms are available and are the ones to ask for if steps are difficult. Please tell us when you book rather than on arrival, so we can hold the right room.
- Paths between the buildings, the lawns and the activity areas are outdoor surfaces and are not uniformly level or paved throughout.
- The pool and some activity areas are reached by steps.
- Bathrooms are not fitted with grab rails or roll-in showers.
- Parking is on site, close to the main building.
If you tell us what you need before you travel, we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it. We would far rather say so in advance than have you arrive to find the property does not work for you.
Tell us when something doesn’t work
If you hit a barrier on this site or have a question about access at the farm, contact us and say what you were trying to do — we will help you finish it by phone or email straight away, and fix the underlying problem where we can. We aim to respond within two working days.
